The Winter Rose Cowl pattern is simple, classy, and full of texture. The cowl has a slight taper in at the top edge near the face, so you’re able to pull it up when it’s really chilly. It naturally folds up and sits quite lovely around the next, but the extra height makes it super cozy. You can also wear it upside down if you like your cowls loose around your face, or you can make both edges loose. I have instructions for both fits. It’s unique in it’s design and construction, and still quite simple.

Crochet pattern
Easy Level
This pattern is beginner-friendly, but does require some knowledge of basic stitches and pattern reading.
Pattern includes some photos to demonstrate instructions.

TOOLS
7mm crochet hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge
Yarn needle
Measuring tape
Scissors

YARN
It can be made with two skeins of We Are Knitters - The Petite Wool for an adult size, and one skein for the Toddler/Child size. There are some yarn sub suggestions within the pattern. The Petite Wool is a heavy worsted, so some testers found going up to a #5 weight bulky yarn helped them get gauge easily.

CUSTOMIZATIONS
Notes are included for adjusting the height, and width of the cowl. It’s easily customizable, though each size has been tested for accuracy.

CONSTRUCTION
The cowl is made flat, then joined. The edges are made once it’s joined together.

Sizes include Adult & Toddler/Child.
