Winter Serenade is an eye-catching triangular shawl with a beautiful large cable motif that swings across the body and transitions into a wide ribbed border.

Worked sideways from one tip to the opposite edge makes this shawl fun to knit and easy to wear.

It was designed for worsted-aran weight yarn to highlight the big cables. If you prefer, you could easily use a different yarn weight and/or yardage since the pattern is fully adjustable.

This pattern is an addictive knit with a beautiful result. The finished shawl will add a warm & cosy item to your favourite winter wardrobe staple.

YARN
Designed for worsted-aran weight yarn in solid/semi-solid colourways. Allow approx. 632 m / 692 yds to get the size of the sample. Easily adjustable for other weights and/or yardages.
Yarn used for sample: Woolfolk TOV (aran weight, 100g = 158 m / 173 yds), 4 skeins in colourway T1 Pale Grey.

GAUGE & NEEDLES
Not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Gauge on sample: 17 sts x 21 rows = 10x10 cm / 4x4“ in border rib stitch pattern after light blocking
Needles used for sample: 5.5 mm / US 9
