Introduction:
I love snow. Every single bit of it - the moments right before you see the first snowflakes flutter from the sky and you smell it in the air, watching my little’s stick their tongues out in hope to catch even one flake, snow angels, snowball fights, sledding…giant steaming mugs of hot cocoa and every bit of magic that this season holds. I am sharing my favorite basic mitten pattern with all of you so that you too can enjoy the magic of the snowy months with smiles on your faces, joy in your hearts and warm hands in your . I hope you enjoy knitting these as much as I do!
Materials:
350 - 400 yards (320 - 366 m)/100 grams of Nomadic Yarns Twisty Sock or other fingering weight yarn of your choice
US 1.5 (2.5 mm) DPNs, or circular needles in length necessary for preferred method of circular knitting
Scrap yarn for holding live sts
Darning needle for weaving in ends
Finished measurements:
Youth: 7.5 inches (19 cm) in circumference, Fits most youth hands
Womans: 8 inches (20.3 cm) in circumference, Fits most adult woman hands
Gauge:
8 sts and 11 rows in stockinette stitch = 1inch (2.5 cm)
