The Seasonal Sock Collection is a four-pattern collection comprised solely (ha get it, SOLE-ly) of socks and inspired by the four seasons of the year. Each season explores sock knitting through various techniques including colours, textures, cables, and lace. The first in the series, the Winter Socks, is a full stranded colourwork sock. Because of the nature of colourwork, it can be challenging to translate it to a well-fitting sock. However, this pattern takes these challenges into consideration and includes a variety of sizes and tips for avoiding a too-tight sock. In addition, chart instructions are included for both a three-colour and a two-colour pattern to give you more choice in how you knit your new favourite pair of socks!

Materials
Approximately 380-460yds/347-420m sock yarn.
Sample shown in Knit Picks Stroll, colourways White (MC), Midnight Heather (CC1), Wonderland Heather (CC2), and Poppy (Cuff, heel, and toe).

2.25mm (US 1) needles for working in the round for cuff, heel, and toe.
2.75mm (US 2) needles for working in the round for colourwork section.
Note: Colourwork has less stretch than stockinette or texture patterns. For this reason, I recommend getting gauge with the smaller needle, and then using a needle two sizes larger for your colourwork.
