Winter Sunshine Shawl
This is a fairly simple shawl that uses primarily seed stitch, with granite stitch and stockinette stitch. I created this in the midst of the pandemic when I needed a mindless project to relax with. The resulting shawl is somewhat heavy in weight and while I believe it would work well with any fingering or lace weight yarn, I wouldn’t suggest it for a heavier weighted yarn. Gauge is not important. Size can be adjusted by knitting less (or more) of any section. I offer a few suggestions about things I might do differently if I were to knit this same pattern again, mainly focusing on elements I might remove. As written, this took two full skeins (950 yards) of yarn.
I am not a professional designer and offer this as a suggestion to anybody who is interested. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you see things that should be changed to make the pattern easier to read.
