This is a “two directions “hat: the color work panel is worked sideway and has a back seem. The top part starts with picking up sts from the main panel and worked in the round seamlessly.
An optional version for those with sensitive ears - earflaps worked from picked up sts.

To change size just change size of your needles and /or yarn weight.
