Winter Tree-O
Winter Tree-O
Crocheted Tree Decorations
Designed by over the head threads
Pattern Description:
An adorable trio of trees (hence,tree-o!) that can be used as decorations for the holidays!
Finished Measurements:
Small is 3” tall and wide, Medium is 4.5”, and Large is 6”
Gauge:
12 rows and 12 sc = 3”
Materials:
Hook: 5mm hook
Worsted Weight Yarn: 10/15/25 yards of worsted weight yarn. You can use any green or speckled green and white yarn! I used Wool of the Andes in Bare, and dyed it Emerald Green with Rit Dye. More on that below, if you are interested in some DIY yarn!
Tapestry/Yarn Needle: metal is best, plastic will work, too
Twine, Yarn, String, Pipe Cleaner: whatever you want to use to hang the ornament
Filling/Stuffing (optional): stuffing used for dolls and teddy bears. I used Poly-fil (polyester fiber fill), but feel free to experiment! You could try roving wool, filling from a pillow, wool batting, yarn scraps, soft fabric…you won’t need much, about a handful or less!
THIS PATTERN ALSO FEATURES A NEAT LITTLE DIY PROJECT AT THE END TO DYE YOUR OWN YARN! FEEL FREE TO JUST USE GREEN YARN, INSTEAD!
