The twisted cable pattern on this hat is easy to work and extends right over the crown. This hat is knit on slightly oversized needles to give a looser fabric with a relaxed drape. Optional pompom!

This hat forms part of the Winter Twist Collection of accessories, which includes a beanie hat, gloves and boot cuffs as well as this slouchy hat. The Winter Twist Collection is a series of accessories that can be worn alone or together and is perfect for wrapping up against autumn and winter chills.

All the patterns incorparate the same design elements of a twisted cable and button details.

The brim of the hat is knitted flat then a few stitches are cast off at each end to form the button placket before joining in the round to work the main body and crown.
