Winter Wonderball Sheep
This adorable ball uses minimal yardage for maximum impact! These sheep kick off the Winter Wonderball Collection giving you the opportunity to try out this project and see if you want to create your own collection of knitted ornaments. They are small projects that knit up quick!
Approx. Yardages / Meters
Color A: 20 yds. / 18.25 meters
Color B: 15 yds. / 13.75 meters
Color C: 5 yds. / 4.5 meters
Color D: 5 yds. / 4.5 meters
Color E: 20 yds. / 18.25 meters
Needles
* US 2 (2.75mm) DPNs. (5 needles) 6 in (15cm) length.
-OR-
* US 2 (2.75mm) circular needles, 24in or longer. Adjust as necessary to obtain correct gauge.
If you have a preferred method of working small projects in the round, please use that method.
Notions
- 1 - 3 1/4in (or 3in) plastic ball ornament Darning/yarn needle
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Stitch markers, (1) - 1 BORm, or 4 if using circular needles
Notes
This pattern is worked from the bottom to the top in the round using increases and decreases to create a ball shape.
This pattern uses 2 and 3 stranded colorwork. If you prefer, you can duplicate stitch the sheep faces instead of using 3 strands.
