Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland is a double-sided blanket that uses felt in between the layers to add colour and warmth. The construction of this blanket does require a bit of basic-level sewing to complete. The throw is worked in pieces—first the hexagons are created, then the snowflakes for the reverse of the blanket, and finally everything is pieced together to create this stunning blanket.
Yarn: Berocco Vintage DK (100 g = 290 yds), 14 skeins in Dove (col. 2116).
Hook: 5 mm (or size required to obtain gauge)
Gauge: Each hexagon measures approximately 7” tip to opposite tip (widest point)
Measurement of blanket: 42” x 56”
Other materials required: Felt – enough for 54 hexagons, each 7” across plus 9 half hexagons.Needle and thread to match yarn.
