Theses sparkly socks are made using West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply in Silent Night and Drops Nord in Off White. A simple complimentary colour combination which really lets the snowy village scene shine.

The colourwork section of the leg of this sock is fairly complicated in that it is not so much a pattern repeat as a pattern in itself. So for the small size the colourwork chart is 56 stitches, medium it’s 64 and large it’s 72. So it’s not for the faint hearted as you need to keep a close eye on where you are in the chart for each line, however, you do have the freedom to chose the order of your “snowy village scene” as the colourwork is completely customisable to your preference. It’s only a short section though, and once you’ve completed that, it’s just a lovely vanilla sock which is easy to knit while watching Christmas movies!

Suitable for confident knitters, who are comfortable with colourwork, knitting in the round, a heel flap and gusset heel construction and Kitchener stitch to graft the toe.

The pattern is written in 3 sizes, UK size 5-6, UK size 6-7 and UK size 7-8, you will receive enough yarn to knit 1 pair up to a UK Size 8.

You will need the following quantities of yarn to knit 1 pair up to size UK 8:
West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply in Silent Night, approx. 50g
Drops Nord in Off White, approx 50g

The gauge I’ve worked to is 32 stitches to 41 rows using 2.5mm double pointed needles - you can use a circular needle and the magic loop method if you prefer.

I have tried to make this pattern as user friendly as possible, but will provide you with my email address when you download the pattern, if you have any issues at all, do get in touch and I will be happy to help.
