Winter Woods Cowl
As wind-blown raindrops turn to snowflakes, bursts of color from winter blooms surround us. This cowl uses garter stitch, as well as patterned stockinette stitch, to take you on a walk through the winter woods in the Pacific NW.
Supplies
3 skeins Blue Moon Fiber Arts Soft Rock (100% Superwash Merino; 113 grams/500 yards); 3 different colors, 1 skein each. I used the following colors and amounts for the sample:
A - Lunacy, 150 yards
B - Oola Pikka, 150 yards
C - Support Your Local Yarn Store, 150 yards
Size 5 (3.75mm)- 24” (60cm) circular needle, or size necessary to achieve gauge

Cable needle
Yarn needle
Gauge
5.5 stitches and 11 rows = 1 inch in unblocked circular garter stitch
Finished Measurements
28” (71cm) circumference x 13” (33cm) tall after blocking. See blocking instructions at the end of the pattern.
