Soft, warm, and full of texture - this hat is everything a cozy winter accessory should be. The folded brim isn’t a separate piece but continues seamlessly into the rest of the hat using the same stitch pattern. This creates a stretchy, comfortable fit with a beautiful knit-like look.

Made with bulky yarn, this is a quick and satisfying project that comes together in no time. The pattern includes three sizes (child, teen/adult small, and adult large), making it easy to adjust for anyone. Even though it’s labeled intermediate, it follows a simple stitch repeat, making it relaxing and fun to work on.

This hat has just the right amount of stretch, warmth, and structure. It’s stylish enough for everyday wear and cozy enough to keep you warm all season. It’s a project that’s easy to love and even easier to wear.

The pattern uses US crochet terminology.

Materials & Tools:
1. Yarn Requirements:
Chunky/bulky weight yarn in 1 color, approx. 135m.
Suggested Yarn: KOKONKI Marble 100g = 90m, 50% Wool, 10% Alpaca, 40% Acrylic.

1. Hook size: 7mm. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
2. Tapestry needle (to weave and hide yarn ends).
3. Scissors.

Level: Intermediate – working in the round, knit stitch, single crochet working in the back loop, decreasing.

Sizes:
Toddler/Child(Teen/Adult Small, Adult/ Large)

The head circumference measurements that I used for each size are as follows:

Toddler/Child: 18″-21″ / 45.75cm-53.5cm
Teen / Adult Small: 22″-23″ / 55.75cm-58.5cm
Adult Large: 24″-25″ / 61cm-63.5cm

If your head measurement is in between the sizes above, I would suggest making the larger size.

Gauge after blocking:
7sts x 10rows in 4”/10cm in stitch pattern using 7mm crochet hook.
If your gauge is too tight, try a larger hook (e.g., 8 mm). If it’s too loose, go down a size (e.g., 6 mm)

Before you measure, block your swatch just like you’ll block your hat - it’s worth the effort for the perfect fit!

Size after blocking:
Brim circumference (unstretched): (18.25, 21.5, 24.5)”/ (46.5, 55, 62)cm,

Height from edge of hat when brim folded in half: 9.75”/25cm
