Winterberry Shawl is a lovely crescent shawl knit in one piece, top down. The body of the shawl is first knit in a texture pattern in two colors, followed by a beautiful lace, adorned with delicate bobbles. Picot edging gives it an even more romantic look.

Yarn: Dark Omen Yarn Merino Plus 100% merino wool, 400 meters (437 yards)/ 100g (3.53 oz); 2x100g skeins in Main Color and 1x20g mini skein in Contrast Color; sample shown in Oblio and Divinity colorways;
Or: approx. 800 meters/ 874 yards of fingering weight yarn in Main Color and 80 meters/ 87 yards of fingering weight yarn in Contrast Color;

Gauge:  20 sts  and  30 rows in Stockinette Stitch, blocked;
gauge is not crucial for this project but it will 
affect the size of your shawl and the yardage; make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project;  

Needles: 4.5 mm/ US7 80 cm (32”) or longer circular needles or needle size to obtain the gauge;

Other: tapestry needle to weave in loose ends; 

Measurements: after blocking: approx. 196 cm/ 77” wide,  45 cm/ 18” long measured from center top to bottom;
