Winterfell is part of my Game of Thrones inspired pattern collection (other patterns so far include Arya Wrap, Weirwood Wrap and Wolfswood Throw).

While watching GoT, I found myself envisioning what it might be like to need the utilitarian aspects of the handknits and furs for basic warmth, but to still want the artisan beauty of something handcrafted for daily use/wear.

I picture wraps like Winterfell being worn by the ladies of House Stark to layer and ward off the cold that would have come with living in a stone fortress through long harsh winters.

Skills needed: casting on/binding off, knit and purl, some cable knitting experience helpful but not needed - there are so many online tutorials if you search for any terms you’re not familiar with.
