This is a cowl pattern designed for the blustery days of deep winter. Starting with a provisional cast on you create the drawstring encasement. Then you work the body of the cowl, using needle size and gauge to create a gentle flare. Finally, you knit the split collar in half fisherman’s rib.

Size
17 inch finished neck circumference increasing to 24 inch width at the bottom and 15 inches long

Gauge
You will need 3 needle sizes. I suggest using the needle you need to hit the gauge of 20x28 in stockinette in the round, then choosing one needle smaller and one needle larger.
