Winter's End Sweater
So, it is February 17 and though it has been warm, here in New England, I don’t trust that the winter has ended, but if you get this on the needles now, you’ll have it done in no time (it is a super fast sweater to knit) and be so happy to wear it during transitional weather and cool summer evenings. Winter’s End is SO light, but soft and snuggly - you’ll love it!
I had a hard time not naming this sweater “the miracle sweater”. I couldn’t believe how little yarn I used and how deliciously soft and light it was! This lovely sweater uses Juniper Moon Farm Beatrix and Louisa Harding Amitola. You can choose a color set here, or use the special order option to put together any combination that you want.
Winter’s End Sweater will be free with the purchase of any of my other patterns (add both to your cart before using the code) and code FREEEND for one week (ends 2/24). It also comes as a free download with our kits!
Just a word about yarn substitutions on this one. I did swatch several other yarns for this stitch pattern and a lot of them just didn’t look great. If you aren’t going to use the recommended yarns, try to substitute with a light, lofty blown yarn for the Beatrix and a fairly drapey (one of the few times I wouldn’t say Noro - it has too much structural integrity) fingering weight for the Amitola. But, it is really best with the yarns in the kit!
