Winter's Promise Cowl
SNOW, some love it, and some hate it. However, there is a special anticipation that comes with a snowfall. I love a snow day - I do have to admit, I even loved them as an elementary school teacher. The beautiful flakes falling gently from the sky creating a blanket of crisp, clean, white on the ground has always brought me joy.
The play of high contrast colors with a main color in the color work snowflakes, the snowball bobbles, and the eyelets in the Winter’s Promise Cowl were inspired by these feelings. I hope you enjoy knitting your own Winter’s Promise Cowl while you sit by the fire and watch the snow fall.
The Winter’s Promise Cowl starts with a provisional cast on. It is knit in the round into a long tube that is grafted together at the end. It makes a light weight, yet warm fabric.
