Wintry Eve is a beanie with a bit of slouch, folded brim and some colourwork. The main colour of the beanie changes from C1 on the brim to C2 on the crown. You can knit the hat using dpns, a short circular needle or a long circular needle using magic loop. The colourwork pattern is charted. The pattern also includes a tip for a more fitted version.

Size:
1-2, to fit head circumference 20.5-23.5” / 52-60 cm.

Yarn:
West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece Bluefaced Leicester Aran
(100 % British wool, 166 meters/100 g) and/or West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece Jacobs Aran (100 % British wool, 166 meters/100 g).

Shown in BFL 001 Ecru (C1) and Jacobs 006 Medium grey (C2).

1 skein of each colour.

Yardage:
C1: 115-130 yards / 105-120 meters
C2: 55-65 yards / 50-60 meters

Needle:
4 mm (US 6) and 5 mm (US 8) - 16”/40 cm circular needle (or longer is you prefer to use magic loop) and dpns for crown shaping. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.
