Wireless Earbud Cozy
I wanted a cover for my earbuds case so I could attach it to a lanyard or a tracker. Although this is knitted from Aran weight yarn for an AirPods 3 case, it can easily be adjusted to fit other dimensions. I chose a heavy yarn in a bright color for a quick, fun project and to make the case easy to see. Gauge is not important, but I recommend a fairly dense fabric that can take some wear. You will need about 15 meters/yards of Aran weight yarn. Thinner yarns will need more length.
I use Judy’s Magic Cast-On to begin. If you do not know how to do it, I recommend KnitPurlHunter’s excellent video link text.
I close the top with the Kitchener stitch, which I learned using Techknitter’s brilliant and easy method. link text If Kitchener stitch gives you the willies nevertheless, just cut the yarn, leaving a long tail, put it on a needle and thread it through the active stitches, alternating between the needles in a zig-zag manner.
