Wisdom Socks -- The thread of learning, experience, transcendence flows and twists throughout our lives…

A single, simple cable motif runs down side of each sock--on the right leg the cable twists right, and on the left leg the cable twists left. The back of the legs are knit in stockinette/stocking stitch. Many sizes: Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. The cable design is unisex and flattering for everyone. It is also very easy to knit and quick to memorize. A cable needle is recommended for the cable row, but it can be achieved without one. Pattern instructions for knitting cuff down in Magic Loop method, but easily adaptable for using DPNS. A fine Slip Stitch Heel and Wedge Toe directions are given, but feel free to use your favorite heel or toe constructions. And ideal project for first time cable knitters and adventurous beginner sock knitters in general, but also enjoyable for knitters with experience. I have knit the model socks in Sandnes Garn Sisu, one of my go-to commercial sock yarns. Solid color yarns are ideal for this design, but equally pleasing in gently speckled or tonal/semi-solids. Happy Knitting!
