Mystery revealed! The full pattern is now available.
This is a mystery knitalong with YOTH Yarns and grist creative on the Girl’s Road Trip 2016. We’ll be knitting a light weight cowl inspired by road trips and friends. Clues will be released on Thursdays and Mondays, starting Thursday, May 5. Whether or not we’re joining the road trip in person at one of the stops, we can still be there in heart and spirit with this fun, skill-building knitalong project. The full pattern will be released in June.
The mKAL thread is here, come on over for sign ups and yarn + bead planning. although the mystery is revealed, there are some great inspiration posts and links to some of the techniques in the mKAL thread.
Schedule: Full pattern is released.
Let’s gather our materials:
Yarn: heavy lace or fingering weight / knitalong will be worked in YOTH Yarns Mother, 550 yards / 100 grams, 1 skein
Gauge and Needles: 18 sts = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette on US 6-8 (4mm-5mm) or size needed to get gauge; 40”-47” circular needle recommended. Gauge is not super critical for this project but a different gauge will yield a different size and may have different yarn requirements. Aim for a very soft fabric with slightly open stitches (check out the mKAL thread for swatches).
Notions: 1080 Miyuki Delica size 8 beads, beads should slide easily on yarn held double, stitch marker, tiny crochet hook for placing beads, dental floss threader for stringing beads
