Wishes beaded lace cardigan
An easy to wear cardigan. The stitch patterns for the main sections are reasonably easy as they are both purl on the wrong side, but do take care with the bead stitch front panel. Unlike the other two stitch patterns, the lace is worked on all rows which makes it a little tricky to unpick a mistake. If you are a novice at lace knitting , insert a “lifeline” every so often just in case you need to take the work back. The beads add an extra sparkle but also they have a function in holding down the front of the cardigan against the body in wear. They really don’t add any complication to the stitch as they are included in every “bead”. The yarn used here is very beautiful and strongly recommended, but if you do want to substitute be sure to use one with a high silk content to give the strength required to support the beads.
