Wishful Thinking
When you wish upon this twinkling star you’ll add a little sparkle to any afghan.
12” across, this granny square uses lots of post stitches to achieve the eight-pointed star and then plays with stitch placement and more post stitches to add the twinkle. Calm it down by using less colors or spice it up with lots of color changes.
You can also use rows 1-8 as an eight-pointed star motif. The points of the star are optimal for joining as you go since they each have a ch1 space in them.
Don’t forget to add a picture to your project page and show us how you sparkle!
Note: Designer seems to be a “loose hooker” and your square may come out smaller than predicted. You may need to add a row of hdc or dc, or change the last row from sc to hdc or dc, to achieve a 12” square.
