The idea for this cowl came up while thinking about something I’d love to wear during winter, especially while celebrating Christmas! The bobbles are reminiscent of fat snowballs -- things I just never have during a Christmas in Florida -- and the giant cable running between the bobbles is so squishably cozy! This cowl just screams to be worn while sipping on an eggnog latte.

Because it uses super chunky yarn, it’s really fast to knit up. For the most part, the seed stitch and stockinette of the cable are quick and simple, but the addition of bobbles and cable crossovers every few rows adds a little adventure to the knit!

And if you’re not into cowls, you can continue the pattern to make a longer scarf, skipping the part where you seam it together and add some tassels to each end!

You’ll need scissors, a cable needle and a darning needle along with your knitting needles and yarn to finish this up!
