Wisteria
A lifelike raceme of wisteria (Wisteria Floribunda Domino) made in primarily Tunisian crochet with some standard crochet.
The raceme is c.18cm from top to bottom. Each individual petal is c.1.5cm wide and 1.25cm tall. The entire pattern uses less than one spool of cotton although I used two different shades of purple so I bought two spools. There is sufficient thread on each spool to make numerous racemes.
I used a standard 0.4mm crochet hook, which is very small. If you use a 0.75mm hook with the same thread, each petal will measure c.2cm across; I’ve included some photos of these larger-hook petals. You can obviously make this in any size you want!
Other notions are glue (Pritt Stick type), floristry wire and tape, thinner jewellery wire, and micro-beads. I also starched and blocked the petals on larger beads for shaping purposes.
A separate tutorial is also included with the pattern. This is a full step-by-step tutorial aimed at a beginner. It assumes you know how to do basic stitches, such as single crochets, chains, and yarn overs, but everything else is explained in full. I am also available for queries at bee@bumbleandbrush.co.uk and am always happy to help ☺️
