The Witch of November, or November Witch, refers to the strong winds that frequently blow across the Great Lakes in autumn.

This hat is worked from the brim to the crown, featuring easy stitch patterns and can be worked fairly quickly. It is designed to fit more slouchy and roomy.

Yarn: 100-150 m/ 110-165 yards DK weight yarn, 100 gr. Sample is knit with Drops Lima (2 skeins), colour 5820, 100 m/50 grams

Needles: 4.0 mm/US 6 for ribbing, 4.5 mm/US 7 for body (dpn or circular), spare 4.0 mm needle if working a tubular cast on

Gauge: 22 sts in 10 cm/4 inch, in 2x2 ribbing on smaller needles
20 sts and 30 rows 10 cm/4 inch in stockinette stitch on larger needles
