"With The Quickness" Mitts
Simple and Super Speedy! These comfy mitts are my new favorites for grabbing quickly before walking the puppers or just whenever there’s a little chill in the air. The simple thumb hole construction completely eliminates having to deal with thumb shaping, and also prevents the mitts from being uncomfortably warm. Perfect for cozy everyday wear or a quick, last-minute gift! :)
Techniques Used: Knitting Basics, Magic Loop, Old Norwegian (Twisted German) Cast-On
Size: One Size Fits Most (tested on average, wide, and large adult hands)
Yarn: Any Bulky or Super Bulky skein that measures at around 75-85 yards per 100 grams would work perfectly! The cover sample was knit from an experiment in hand-dyeing, but many talented indie dyers offer up stunning colorways dyed on very similar yarn bases! This pattern would also be perfect for showcasing the unique beauty of handspun yarn! ♡
Additional Notes: Also included in the pattern is a photo tutorial showing how to create a completely invisible bind-off connection (especially important when using chunky yarn), as well as a few notes on how to knit the mitts using multiple strands of sock yarn scraps held together! :)
