Withywindle
This pattern was inspired by the German pattern Regenbogen Zopf. I’ve modified it to work for fingering weight sock yarn and added a mirrored set of cables and a unique short row heel that allows for continuation of the design movement through the heel. The unique toe also allows for a trim finish to the design.
The finished sock reminded me of the twisty, winding river in the Old Forest in The Fellowship of the Ring by Tolkien.
A HUGE thanks to my testknitters, LadyLime, truki, KWelch, invinoveritas, and seechrisknit!
