In the Digimon universe, August 1st is a special day as it’s the day the original Digidestined from Digimon Adventure were sent to the Digiworld. This date is also referred to as “Odaiba Memorial Day”. To commemorate Odaiba Memorial Day, I made one of my favorite Digimon, Wizardmon! <3

Materials
To make Wizardmon you will need:
– A Crochet hook, 2.5mm
– Wool in the following colors: Blue-grey, purple, (light) brown, light grey, dark grey, creme, yellow, red, dark yellow, beige, black
– A tapestry needle and scissors
– Stuffing
– A stitch marker to help you keep track of the start of the round
Please note that you can make Wizardmon using any size crochet hook and yarn weight for a smaller or bigger result. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm crochet hook, Wizardmon be about 15cm tall.

Stitches & Abbreviations
The pattern is written using US crochet terms in continuous spirals. You will need to know the following kinds of stitches to make him:
– Magic Ring (MR)
– Chaining (ch)
– Single crochet (sc)
– Half double crochet (hdc)
– Double crochet (dc)
– Decrease (dec); preferably using the invisible decrease method
– Increase (inc)
– You will also need to know how to work short rounds – this is very simple though, all it means that you stop working in the round for a moment and instead chain, turn, and work a bit in rows.
