This detailed wolf amigurumi art doll features a full-body armature to allow for posing the finished wolf into different poses. Of course, the armature can be skipped if so wished, resulting in a floppy-legged, huggable wolf friend.

When made with weight 2/sport/fine yarn and 2mm hook, the finished wolf measures 17cm/6.7inches
from tip of nose to rear end, and 27cm/10.6inches from tip of nose to tip of tail. Height at the top of the
head is about 16cm/6.3inches. Size grows with thicker yarn weights used.

The parts of the wolf are quite straightforward to make, using nothing but simple single crochets, increases and decreases. Some parts also employ short rows to shape the body.
The most challenging part of this project is assembling the pieces and creating the armature, which is a task requiring some finger dexterity. Prior experience in armature making/wire crafts will certainly help.

All in all, I’d say this is a project suitable for somewhat advanced crafters, if one decides to make the armature. The crocheting part however is, as said before, quite simple (albeit somewhat long) undertaking.

This 22-page digital PDF contains row-by-row crochet patterns for creating all the parts of the wolf along with a lot of progression pics for help. Detailed instructions for assembly and armature creation are also provided. The PDF is in english and uses US terminology.
