NOTES
- WHEN MAKING THE SCARF I FIND IT EASIER TO PLACE STITCH MARKERS EVERY 20 STITCHES TO HELP ME KEEP COUNT. I HAVE KIDS WHO LOVE TO INTERRUPT AT THE WORST TIME :). (I USE BREAD TIES, SAFETY PICS, BOBBY PINS ETC. WHATEVER IS HANDY)
- THE HOOD STEPS LOOK DAUNTING. THEY TRULY ARE NOT. IT IS BASICALLY A LOT OF REPETITION OF THE SAME UNCOMPLICATED STITCHES. I TOOK WHAT I LIKED FROM DIFFERENT PATTERNS AND TOOK OUT WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE UNTIL I WORKED UP AN EASY FLOWING PATTERN THAT MAKES THE HOOD INTO A CAPE STYLE
- WHEN DECREASING YOUR ROWS USING THE SC2TOG OR THE DC2TOG I SUGGEST USING JUST THE LOOP FACING YOU RATHER THAN TRYING TO FORCE THE HOOK THROUGH BOTH COMPLETE STITCHES. YOU CAN DO IT THAT WAY BUT IT MAKES YOUR DECREASING STITCHES TIGHTER THAN THE REST FORCING IT TO RIPPLE
- NUMBERS IN PARENTHESES ARE NUMBER OF TOTAL STITCHES YOU SHOULD HAVE AT COMPLETION OF EACH ROW. I FOUND THESE EXTREMELY HELPFUL WHEN I FIRST STARTED READING PATTERNS SO I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU AS WELL.
- DEPENDING ON THE SZ YARN BALL OF THE EYELASH YARN YOU BOUGHT YOU WILL MORE THAN LIKELY USE 3FULL SKEINS AND ABOUT HALF OF THE LAST OR MOST OF 2 FULL BALLS. WHEN YOU SEE YOU ONLY HAVE ABOUT 8 INCHES OF ONE LEFT, BRING IN THE NEXT BALL AS IF YOU WERE DOING A COLOR SWITCH. WEAVE IN THE ENDS WITH A TAPESTRY NEEDLE AT LEAST 3 TIMES AT THE COMPLETION OF PROJECT
