The Wolke socks are a textured sock pattern with written instructions and includes a video tutorial. The pattern also includes my New Depths Heel pattern -- a short-row heel pattern with an optional gusset for a roomier instep.

A knitter knows that there is nothing quite like hand knit socks — the cozy, luxurious feeling of having toasty toes on a crisp autumn day is akin to walking on a wooly cloud! Much like the shape of clouds, you may find that you have varying ideas of what images the bubbly texture invoke. Whatever you discover, the Wolke socks with their unique squish floating in and out, are sure to be an addictive, playful knit that will leave you feeling like your head is in the clouds, even when it’s overcast!

The Wolke socks are written for a cuff-down construction but can easily be adapted to be knit toe-up. I offer three stitch counts, but with a pattern repeat of 4 sts + 1, it can easily be adapted to fit most stitch counts.

This pattern has been test knit and professionally tech edited.
