Woman In All The Blues
Description
This pattern is not currently available to buy as a standalone design; it’s the second release of six accessory patterns in the highly original and exciting Yarnadelic Remixes 0.1 project by Felicity (Felix) Ford and Muriel Pensivy. Each pattern in this project is rooted in music, and the project has a rich, multimedia home on Teachable. The designs are contextualised with inspiring video and audio content that really brings their stories and musical links to life.
Woman In All The Blues is a statement scarf worked using yarns held double for extra warmth and to produce a marled, gradient effect. Slipped stitches describe the grid on a componium punch-card, while Lucy Neatby’s Big Holes technique outlines the notes, which are taken from the guitar riff in Judy Roderick’s 1965 recording of the song Woman Blue.
The pattern sample is worked in all the blues from the Yarnadelic yarn range.
