Remember when you were a girl? Life was as easy as a garter stitch. Then a more interesting part came- your teen years. You discovered how everything got more complex, more exciting and sensual just like the lace part of this shawl. When graduated school you wanted to define the frames, but just for a while…After a strong garter stitch line the lace part expand, because you know that life is full of surprises, love and you enjoy your womanhood!
The shawl is designed especially for gradient hand dyed yarn. The lace pattern used in this design is very easy-to-memorize and shawl’s edges are knitted in garter stitch. Woman Story is classical, feminine and very modern at the same time. Choose the color to enhance your beauty.

This pattern has written instructions.

Finished measurements:
The sample is 59” / 150 cm wingspan and 26” / 65 cm deep at center spine.

Materials:
• Yarn: 1 Leizu Fingering Gradient Set by Julie Asselin 525 yards/ 4.94 ounces 140 grams/ 480 meters; 90% Merino/10% Silk or other fingering weight yarn that knits up to the gauge and has nice drape.
The sample was knit using Avalon colorway.
• Needles and other notions: US 6 (4.0 mm) and US 8 (5.0mm) circular needles, stitch marker, needle to weave in ends.

Gauge: 20 Stitches per 4 inches/ 10 cm after blocking with US 6 (4.0 mm) needles in Garter Stitch.
Gauge is not crucial for this project but may affect finished measurements and yardage.

Skills required: Knitting and purling, increases and decreases, yarn overs.
