This pattern has now been fully tested

You will need about 100g of the main colour and scraps for the tummy patch, eyes and beak and a small amount of a contrast colour for the scarves. I used aran and a 4mm hook. Pattern should also work using worsted weight yarn

This pattern was inspired by a pair of penguin mittens owned by my daughter and I got jealous so designed these so I could make myself a pair!
