Initially, I was inspired by a magazine submission prompt of spring scraps to work on some slanted shell slippers. From this, I created the Women’s Slanted Shell Ballet Slippers. Afterwards, I thought since the slanted shell stitch was such a beautiful stitch pattern that it should be used in some slippers that had a longer foot covering, and so I went back to my pattern and reworked it to cover more of my foot, but still fit comfortably around my ankle area. Even happier with this version than with my initial ballet slipper version!

Materials:
- 77 - 121 yards (small amount) of heavy weight Worsted Weight Yarn - I used Red Heart’s Super Saver (JoAnns)
- I9/5.5mm Crochet Hook
- Tapestry Needle for Weaving in Ends
