This pattern is available from lovecrafts.com for £2.10.

A unique pattern for intermediate, confident knitters who already understand the basics of sock construction.
Instructions are given in one size, with adjustable foot length, for an average woman, but experienced knitters can easily adapt to other sizes.

These socks use a reinforcement ‘slip stitch’ for the whole of the sole and toe, not just the heel flap.
The tension for the simple eyelet pattern is 10 rows per inch, (20 rows to 5 cm) but the tension for the slip rib reinforcement stitch is 16 rows to the inch, (32 rows to 5 cm). The Wee Duchess will show you how to use the ‘wrap and turn’ technique to overcome the problem of different tensions while avoiding wrinkly ankles and banana shaped feet!
Instructions include a pretty, simple eyelet pattern for the leg, but you can adapt to use your own favourite. The Wee Duchess has helpfully written out the instructions for the heel and gusset in full and provided many illustrations and tips along the way.
