This pattern for really, truly, Fagin-style fingerless gloves strikes a perfect balance between utility and fiddliness. Some patterns start the pinky below the rest of the fingers, and while that helps refine the fit, it’s very… fiddly. These beauties are very straightfoward, fit just fine, and include a whole covered thumb (which of course you don’t have to finish if you’d rather not). You make the right glove first, then shaping instructions are given separately for the left. So if you’ve never made gloves before, this is a good place to start: you get the basics without any unnecessary meringue.
