The Wonky Christmas Tree Pattern creates these really fun and unique Christmas decorations. You use the loop stitch to create the texture and you have the option to leave them as loops or to cut them to look more like a real tree. I love the uniqueness of these trees and how much they brighten up a room. I have made so many in preparation for this pattern, they are all over my house! I love seeing them in every room.

MATERIALS
YARN - Super Bulky weight:
Sizes: S, (M, L, XL)
Approx. 35 (40, 100, 185) yards, {32 (37, 91, 169) meters}**
Note 1: The yardage is DEFINITELY going to vary. The length of the loops you make will change your yardage.*

Sample uses:Bernat Softee Chunky (100% Acrylic, 108 yds (99 m)/ 100g) in the colorways: ‘Dark Green’, ‘Eucalyptus’, ‘White’, ‘Forest’ and ‘Redwood’.*

NEEDLES
US 11 {8.00 mm} Flat or Circulars.
Or size needed to match gauge.

OTHER MATERIALS
Yarn Needle, Removable Stitch Markers.
» Optional: Pipe Cleaners, Cardstock or Cardboard.

GAUGE
8.5 sts / 12 rows = 4″ {10 cm}.

Worked Flat Stitch Pattern: RS Rows = Loop stitch across. WS Rows = Knit across.

Note: Matching gauge isn’t super important since these are just for decoration and slight variations in gauge will just add to their uniqueness.

SIZING
Note: The way that you seam and structure your tree will impact the sizing. But, they will be roughly:
Sizes: S, (M, L, XL)
Circumference at the base: 7 (7, 10.75, 14.5) inches {18 (18, 27.5, 37) cm}.
Height: 6.25 (9.75, 13, 17) inches, {16 (25, 33, 43) cm}.
