This is a pattern that was inspired by Dr. Seuss. I designed it for my cousin who was doing a Dr. Seuss themed nursery.

This blanket is made up of four mitered squares, and then the pieces are crocheted together and finished off with a garter border. Each square is unique with different main and accent color combinations and different amounts of space in between the accent rows. The accent rows are a garter ridge to give the blanket a little bit of texture. You can easily customize it by playing around with colors and how they are arranged.

I recommend using Caron Simply Soft Solids for this pattern. It’s my favorite for making baby blankets because it’s soft, washable, and comes in a wide variety of colors. You will need the following amounts of yarn:

Color A: 3 skeins of Blue Mint
Color B: 2 skeins of Harvest Red
Color C: 2 skeins of White
