My designer pillow patterns all use Intarsia, Armenian knitting and Fair Isle color techniques. You get to do a little of everything. The basic knit is done first, then the details are added later.

For this pillow you can use fingering yarns from your stash, or purchase one skein of each color desired. The knitted tube for the cording takes about one skein. The following yarn list is only a suggestion.

White, black, Silver, Mist,Pumice, Iris heather, Doe, Suede, Tumeric (Gold), Lantana or Mauve, Blue, ( dark and lighter shade), two shades of green for the leaves, Sky blue or Blue Bell, Clarity, Blossom Heather, Conch, Teal, Opal Heather.

One of the methods I used to get the log colors were to blend a single ply of Iris Heather with the two tones of grey. I also blended the blues and greens to get different shade in the water. It’s fun to do, and quite rewarding.
