Wood Violet Wrap
A simple way to play with a semi-solid color and a painted colorway, this is a wrap that can easily be customized.
This wrap is worked in three sections. The main panel with the leaf pattern and cables is worked flat, beginning with a provisional cast-on. Stitches are picked up along one edge to add the wide lace edging, which is worked as an applied edging. The ends are joined to form the circular wrap. Then the stitches for the narrow edging are picked up along the remaining straight edge to work the narrow lace edging.
Finished measurements:
15 1/2” (39.5 cm) wide and 40” (101.5 cm) circumference
Yarn needed:
Color A: 258 yds / 236 m, shown in Midnight Aubergine, 1 hank
Color B: 244 yds / 223 m, shown in Bahama Woodstar, 1 hank
This wrap could also be worked in one color. If you choose to work this way, you’ll need 510 yards / 458 meters of yarn.
