Woodland Cowl
by Melissa Mall
I bought the yarn used in this cowl years ago. I love the colors of forests and fall, and this brown, tan, and green colorway seemed like it would quickly turn into something wonderful. There was just one problem: I hated everything I tried to make with it. I swatched and swatched and swatched again, but it seemed that no matter what stitch or pattern I tried, the colors fought with it – and so the yarn got frogged (yet again) and sent to the closet.
When I began looking through my stash for some yarn for this project, one little skein of rewound Wool-Ease in green, brown, and tan fell out of the cupboard. I decided that I might as well try it and I’m glad I did, because I think it’s beautiful.
