Have you ever been seeking gnomes in the woods? They wear mushroom hats or flower colours, so it is very hard to spot them. Now you can crochet one to come live with you, they also make cute gifts for gnome loving friends.

We will crochet this little, waldorf inspired friend from hat to boot. We start with the 4mm / G-6 hook for the wool (use a 3.5mm / E-4 hook if it is not tight enough) and when we get to the cotton we’ll switch to a 3mm hook. Arms and legs are crocheted directly onto the body, so no sewing, yay! Make sure you follow the correct instructions: there are instructions for left-handed and right-handed crocheters.
If you use the same crochet hooks and yarn the finished doll will be approximately 35cm / 14inch.

Pattern is in English and I use US crochet terms.

YARN

  • DROPS Muskat in desired skin colour.
  • DROPS Alaska or Nepal in desired clothes colour.

HOOK

  • 3mm / D-3
  • 4mm / G-6.

OTHER

  • Darning needle

Important: these dolls are ws out. I know rs out is considered to be the way to go. However, I like the touch, the curving and the look of ws out better. If you want the rs out, follow the instructions for the other hand. So if you’re right-handed, follow lh instructions.
