This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Pepper the Possum does have special stitches and 3D ears, which are explained in detail in the written instructions.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of #4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

This pattern uses approximately 4 oz of #4 yarn if using the same hook size I did. My sample square used approximately 1.5 oz of sage green, 1.5 oz of light grey, .5-.75 1 oz of charcoal, and .5 oz of cream, although yardage can vary based on hook size & tension.
