This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

This project uses 4 colors of yarn, although you could use more or less as desired.

This is a great way to use up scraps! This particular square used approximately 1.5 oz of pale teal, .5 - .75 oz of charcoal grey, 1.5 of medium grey & .5-1 oz of light brown. (total weight is slightly less than 4 oz)
