Among the trees, the rest of the world fades into the background and all is calm. I become captivated by the light that dances across the path, the textures of a tree’s bark and moss, and the sounds of a trickling stream. The cool kisses of the morning air liven my spirit. I look upward, in awe of the grandeur of evergreens. The forest is my happy place, my inspiration.
