Woodlark is a type of lark but also a play on words as my name means lark in Danish and this design was largely inspired by walking in the woods where I live.

The Woodlark Shawl is knit in the round using 2 colors but shaped like a triangular shaped shawl with increases at the top and the center. After binding off the shawl is steeked along the top edge and stitches are picked up to hide the steek.

The pattern includes written instructions and charts as well as videos to guide you through the design.

Gauge
23 sts x 33 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in pattern

Needle Size
3,5 mm long circular needles
3 mm or smaller long circular needles for picking up stitches.
If you experience difference in gauge when doing colorwork you can go up a needle size for the colorwork sections

Final Measurements
Wingspan: 170 cm / 67”
Spine: 61 cm / 24”
(measured straight, the ends curl a bit upwards)

NOTE: Small changes has been made to the pattern after the sample was knitted. They were made to clean up the center of the shawl a bit so the colorwork merges in a nicer way.
