Woods Are Lovely...
Pattern available exclusively through Wooly Wonka Fibers Yule Club until February 2019.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
—Robert Frost, “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”
Bands of snowflakes build into a snowstorm above the trees, while fir cones pile up on the forest floor below for a cozy Winter shawl. Wrap yourself up in this shawl the next time you stop by woods on a snowy evening.
You will begin at one point of the triangle, then increase every right side row, adding bands of snowflakes and garter stitch, until you have room to knit an entire flurry of flakes that will fall on the fir trees, which stand on a wavy pile of fir cones. Stitch patterns are provided in both charted and written form.
